I'm running the London Marathon 2026 – yes, 26.2 miles – and I need your support (and maybe a few snacks). 🏃♂️💨🍌
In a moment of equal parts inspiration and madness, I signed up to run the London Marathon in April 2026 – I took on this challenge to raise money for World Cancer Research Fund, an amazing charity working to prevent cancer through groundbreaking research into diet, lifestyle, and health.
Cancer affects far too many lives – and this is my way of fighting back (with running shoes). World Cancer Research Fund is all about helping people live healthier, longer lives – and every donation helps fund their crucial work. Having family and friends currently fighting this awful disease and those previously affected, the 'C' word doesn't take any prisoners, it doesn't care about age, who you are, where you live, what job you have, it doesn't discriminate, every ounce of research to try and combat it is worthwhile and a step in the right direction.
Grandparents, parents, family friends, friends, ex-colleagues... the list of those affected by cancer is endless, but surely there is going to come a day when this awful disease is treatable with less side affects, less invasive methods.. and what can help that? Research, knowledge, investigation.. World Cancer Research Fund is doing just that.
I’ll be putting in the miles, facing the blisters, and probably crying at mile 20 – but with your support, I’ll cross that finish line knowing it’s all for something bigger.
So please, if you can, chip in! Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or a pair of super socks (trust me, I’ll need them), every little bit helps – and I’ll be forever grateful.
Let’s do this – one step, one smile, and one sweaty mile at a time!

Good luck, you'll smash it!
