Why World Cancer Research Fund?
Every day around 1,100 people will hear the words ‘you have cancer’. Over 420 of these cases could have been prevented, that’s a staggering 155,000 people every year. World Cancer Research Fund, are passionate about reducing this number.
As part of an international network of charities, they’ve been funding life-saving research, influencing global health policy and informing the public since 1982.
While society continues to search for a cure, their prevention and survival work helps people to live longer, healthier, and happier lives – free from the devastating effects of cancer. The money I'm raising plays a huge part in keeping this going.

My reason for Running
Tuesday 11th AugI’ve decided to run the London marathon to raise money and awareness on behalf of the World Cancer research Fund for my dad who sadly lost his battle against cancer. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in April of 2016 and passed in July that same year. It was such a shock for me and my family. We miss him every single day. Other members of my family have had their own battles with cancer and still do today. I want to raise as much funds to donate to this great cause to help in any way I can to beat an illness that affects so many families. I would greatly appreciate any amount you could contribute.
