In 2027, I'll be running the London Marathon in support of the World Cancer Research Fund

Like many families, ours has been impacted by cancer. My father-in-law, David, lost his life to this disease, and witnessing his journey showed me firsthand the devastating effect cancer can have, not only on the individual, but on everyone who loves them.

His loss is something our family carries with us every day. Running the London Marathon gives me the opportunity to honour his memory while supporting a cause dedicated to reducing the impact of cancer on future generations.

That's why I'm proud to be raising funds for WCRF, an organisation dedicated to cancer prevention through world-leading research, education and evidence-based health advice. Their work helps people understand how lifestyle factors such as diet, physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight can reduce cancer risk and improve long-term health outcomes.

Running the London Marathon will be a significant personal challenge, but it is nothing compared to the challenges faced by those diagnosed with cancer and the families who stand beside them.

Every kilometre I run will be in memory of Davo and in support of the vital work being done to prevent cancer and save lives.

My goal is to raise as much as possible to support WCRF's important work and help create a future where fewer families experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love to cancer.

Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
