Why World Cancer Research Fund?
Every day around 1,100 people will hear the words ‘you have cancer’. Over 420 of these cases could have been prevented, that’s a staggering 155,000 people every year. World Cancer Research Fund, are passionate about reducing this number.
As part of an international network of charities, they’ve been funding life-saving research, influencing global health policy and informing the public since 1982.
While society continues to search for a cure, their prevention and survival work helps people to live longer, healthier, and happier lives – free from the devastating effects of cancer. The money I'm raising plays a huge part in keeping this going.

My Updates
Why am I running?
Tuesday 14th JulI'm incredibly proud to be running the London Marathon 2027 in support of World Cancer Research Fund.
I'm taking on this challenge because cancer has had a profound impact on my family. I sadly lost both my uncle and my auntie to cancer, and I also have loved ones who are currently living with and fighting this disease. Like so many families, we've experienced the heartbreak, uncertainty, and resilience that cancer brings.
Running 26.2 miles will be one of the toughest things I've ever done, but it doesn't compare to the challenges faced every day by those affected by cancer. Every training run and every mile on marathon day will be for my uncle, my auntie, my loved ones, and everyone whose lives have been touched by cancer.
I'm raising money for World Cancer Research Fund because of the incredible work they do to fund life-changing research, improve our understanding of cancer prevention, and help create a future where fewer families have to experience the pain that mine has.
If you're able to support me, no matter how big or small the donation, I'd be so grateful. Your generosity will help motivate me through the months of training and, more importantly, contribute to research that can save lives.
Thank you for your kindness, encouragement, and support. Together, we can help make a difference in the fight against cancer.
