Why World Cancer Research Fund?

I'm running the 2026 London Marathon, raising money for World Cancer Research Fund. WCRF are part of an international network of charities, funding life-saving research, influencing global health policy, and informing the public for over 40 years.

I'll be running the marathon in memory of my Uncle Tim. Tim wasn't just one of the best people I've ever known, but somebody who always championed the idea of living an active lifestyle, trying new things, and most importantly having a laugh while doing it. In 2021, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.

Living healthy, and staying active is an important part of World Cancer Research Fund's message. Tim always expressed those values through his actions as much as his words, and he even returned to the football pitch after his diagnosis. Tim passed away in 2023, he'll always be one of the biggest role models in my life.

I'm incredibly grateful for any support, whether that be a donation, a share, or just spreading Tim's legacy - to get out there, follow your heart, and have a heap of fun in the process.
