Why I'm Running

In April 2027, I will be taking on the TCS London Marathon in aid of the World Cancer Research Fund.

I am running in memory of my wonderful mum. After bravely battling cancer for close to two years, during which we cared for her together as a young family, she passed away in March 2014 when I was just 16 years old.

I was incredibly close to my mum, and I continue to miss her every single day. Cancer is an awful disease, and I wouldn't wish the pain of having it - or the heartbreak of losing a loved one to it - on anyone.

Running has become a huge part of my life over the years - it keeps me grounded, active, and motivated. 2027 will mark 13 years since I lost my mum, and taking on the London Marathon in her memory is the perfect way to combine my love for running with a cause that is so deeply personal to me.

Why I Need Your Help Now

While April 2027 feels like a long way off, I actually need to raise £1,375 (half of my £2,750 minimum target) very soon just to secure my place at the start line. This is why I am kicking off my fundraising early!

I want to support the World Cancer Research Fund so their vital research can help spare other families from experiencing this loss. Any donation, big or small, means the absolute world to me and will help me secure my spot.

Thank you so so much for your support!
