Why we're running for World Cancer Research Fund?

Every day, around 1,100 people hear the words “you have cancer”. Sadly, those words have touched both Andy’s and Paddy’s families, not just in the past, but again in recent months.

What makes this even harder is that more than 420 cancer cases every day could be prevented. That’s around 155,000 people every year. World Cancer Research Fund exists to change this. Since 1982, they’ve funded life-saving research focused on prevention, helping people live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.

The money raised goes directly towards supporting this vital work and helping reduce the number of families affected in the future.

We’re running to raise money for an incredible cause and to prove to ourselves that new dads can still do hard things. Running off the “dad bod” is very much a secondary goal, and mostly Paddy’s problem.
