Why World Cancer Research Fund?
I’m taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon for a cause that means so much to me and my family, and one that affects countless other families too.
I want to raise both money and awareness for cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of knowing how to check for signs of cancer.
Over the past few years, my beautiful mum has faced both breast cancer and skin cancer. Watching someone you love go through that is incredibly difficult, and it’s impossible to fully describe what those moments were like for our family. Thankfully, she has made a full recovery from both.
She is my biggest inspiration. Completing a marathon will never compare to the strength and courage she showed during her treatment, but this is my way of supporting a cause that helps people affected by cancer and works to prevent others from experiencing the same pain.
