Thanks for supporting me and World Cancer Research Fund!
This April, I will be running the London Marathon—the third of my six-race journey to complete all World Major Marathons. I started my journey in NYC with the National Brain Tumor Society team and recently completed the Chicago Marathon with the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation. I'm incredibly grateful that I've been able to continuously align my passion for endurance running with my interest in supporting the cancer community, and I'm happy to keep the trend going, taking on the London Marathon with the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF)!
Having such a special meaning behind my miles after losing a best friend to brain cancer makes each run a little bit easier and each training block and race experience a little bit sweeter. I'm excited for my impact to now span both cancer treatment as well as prevention through my connection to WCRF and help save the world from a little more heartbreak.
WCRF is an incredible organization that focuses on stopping cancer before it starts. As part of an international network of charities, they’ve been funding life-saving research, influencing global health policy, and informing the public since 1982. While society continues to search for a cure, their prevention and survival work helps people to live longer, healthier, and happier lives – free from the devastating effects of cancer. The money I'm raising plays a huge part in keeping this going.
I would love and appreciate your support on any front (training, fundraising, holding me accountable to my plan, carb loading in solidarity, etc.!). I'm endlessly humbled by and grateful for your generosity. Thank you! I love you!
